Emergency 2023 Exhibit
The 2023 West Harlem Arts: Community Exhibition brought together a selection of artists from the 2020 and 2021 Exhibition years to collaborate with a local community organization in the creation of a banner design to be publicly displayed for the neighborhood community to enjoy. This exhibition models the past two years of collaboration between the Children’s Art Carnival(CAC) and Centro Civic Cultural Dominicano(CCCD) by pairing artists and non-profits from community board 9, West Harlem, Central Harlem, East Harlem, Sugar Hill, Washington Heights, Inwood and the South Bronx.

"The theme for the banner design is EMERGENCY; derived from all of the never ending series of emergent global crises we find ourselves in at this time. From Covid to Civil Unrest, Mass Shootings, and Women's rights violations." Here are some photos from our opening.

Community Workshop at PS 125!
PATHOS Creative and Candace Leslie spent a morning leading two workshops in June 2023 with third graders at PS 125 The Ralph Bunch School in West Harlem. The morning was filled with dance movement, improvisation and art making. Parents were invited and joined in the activities and each session ended with a delicious potluck provided by the parents!
We would like to thank Dean Emanuel Batista, teachers: Ms. Elizabeth Flanagan and Ms. Amy Scoufaras, the assistants, parents and students of course!
