DANCE AS EXPRESSION: CONNECTION & PERSONAL JOURNEY for adults
Description
PATHOS Creative envisions a community where there is no limit to personal creativity and discovery. We engage adults to experience creativity in a multidisciplinary way, consisting of dance, poetry, improvisation and other art making. We focus on nurturing a restorative environment to create a sense of belonging and wellness, personally and within our communities, consequently bolstering inclusion and honoring diversity.
All exercises are adaptive for all abilities. Focus is on positivity, wellness, and belonging. No judgement!

This course introduces adult learners to basic dance techniques used in various styles as a way to cultivate individual expression and awareness through movement and personal storytelling. Participants will explore improvisation, basic choreography, poetry and performance presentation.The class series will culminate as a gathering with friends, family, staff and general community when appropriate.
